Scope and purpose

Best Home Cleaning Reviews publishes research-based product guides and household-cleaning information for readers in the United States. We aim to explain which product characteristics matter, where options differ, and what a reader should verify before buying or using a product.

Research standards

Our current process is desk research. Depending on the topic, sources may include manufacturer specifications and instructions, safety documentation, retailer listings, warranty information, and reputable independent references. We prefer primary sources for factual product claims and identify uncertainty when sources conflict or do not answer the question.

We do not currently operate a testing laboratory. We will describe content as hands-on tested only when the page documents the test method, products used, conditions, observations, and relevant evidence. A title or sentence inherited from the site's historical archive is not proof of testing. Migrated articles that use unsupported testing language are being reviewed in stages and carry a research-status notice in the meantime.

Recommendations and comparisons

Selection criteria should match the reader's intended use. These may include compatibility, material, capacity, maintenance, safety instructions, warranty, availability, and price positioning. We do not treat an affiliate commission, retailer popularity, or a manufacturer's marketing claim as independent proof of quality.

Prices, ratings, review counts, availability, and formulas change. Readers should confirm time-sensitive information at the source. Safety-sensitive decisions should follow the label and manufacturer instructions.

Authorship and review

Articles should identify the responsible author or editorial team. We do not publish invented credentials, personal testing histories, or quotations. Carolyn Cleanright's expanded biography and original portrait will be added only after the underlying information and asset are verified.

Commercial relationships

Affiliate links help fund the site, but commercial eligibility does not guarantee inclusion or favorable coverage. Sponsored content, paid placement, or free samples must be disclosed on the relevant page. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

Updates and corrections

We update pages when material facts, product status, or our methods change. A modification date should appear only when substantive content was reviewed or changed, not merely because the site was rebuilt. Report a possible error at support@besthomecleaningreviews.com or read the Corrections Policy.
